Services

A pattern for prayer, music and life.

All are welcome to attend our services (many of which are also broadcast live). We want you to come and to enjoy taking part, regardless of age, belief and preference. So whether you like to pray and sing out loud, perhaps receive communion and chat afterwards, or prefer to sit silently and then slip quietly away, we welcome you.

Online services

We are now live-streaming services at 8.30 am (Morning Prayer – with Holy Communion every day except Thursday) on Monday to Friday during the week and the Cathedral Eucharist on Sundays) and midday prayers with the Litany of Reconciliation at 12 noon every day (followed by Holy Communion on Thursday and Saturday. Evening Prayer is streamed daily at 4 pm unless there is a service of Choral Evensong at 5.15 pm during the week or 4 pm at weekends.

You can watch our live-stream services on Facebook here, which is also where you will find most of our broadcasts from the recent past. Some of our services are also available here on our Youtube channel.

Pastoral Care

Listening and chatting to people who feel troubled is part of daily life at Coventry Cathedral and an important role of our Duty Chaplin, who is usually available during cathedral visiting hours. Our clergy are also usually available immediately after services. Out of hours, you can request a call by leaving a message on 02476 521230 or email email hidden; JavaScript is requiredemail hidden; JavaScript is required for the Reverend Kathryn Fleming, Canon for Worship & Community. We respond to all requests compassionately and without judgement. You do not need to be a churchgoer or someone of faith.

Choirs & music

It helps us to bring words alive and make them memorable, adding beauty to the liturgy and lifting the hearts of those sing and those who listen. Much of our well known church music over the centuries was composed to be performed in large churches and cathedrals.
