Limited edition prints of Graham Sutherland's Christ in Glory (In the Tetramorph) are now on sale through Goldmark Gallery, helping to raise funds for the Cathedral.
In recognition of the Cathedral’s Diamond Jubilee this year, Goldmark Art Gallery have partnered with Coventry Cathedral (once more!), to produce archival pigment prints of the design for the great tapestry Christ in Glory by Graham Sutherland (which is on display in the Cathedral). The painting (a ‘cartoon’) was used to guide the French weavers, as shown in the recent BBC4 documentary about the building of the Cathedral. It has now been beautifully conserved, reframed and redisplayed.
Limited edition archival pigment prints are available from Goldmark gallery from £495. Printed to raise £100,000 for Coventry Cathedral, £200 from each sale goes to support the Cathedral. Thank you to Goldmark Gallery for their partnership to help raise vital funds for the conservation of the Cathedral. Proceeds from this project have funded essential conservation of Sutherland’s painting, while current funding will support the ongoing general maintenance and caring for the Cathedral and its Ruins.
