Support the Cathedral - Keep the Doors Open For All

For £365 you can sponsor a day or give a donation and make a major contribution to the Cathedral remaining free for all visitors. A donation of £365 will give you an opportunity to keep the Cathedral open in the name of your loved one or to celebrate your special date.

In 2018 Coventry Cathedral removed its admission charge. This bold step was made possible through a generous partnership with the Diocese of Coventry and your continued support.

We would really appreciate you becoming a partner with us in helping to keep this incredible building, with its vital message of peace and reconciliation, open to all visitors.

Not charging for admission will cost the Cathedral around £130,000 a year; a daily amount of about £365. If you donate this amount — either as a single gift or through a regular direct debit/standing order — you will be making a valuable contribution to keeping the wonders of the Cathedral and its unique message of reconciliation available to everyone.

Sponsor a day that's special to you

Whether it’s a birthday, an anniversary, or a day with a special meaning to you of a friend or relative, you can celebrate them at the Cathedral.

There are many reasons why a particular date might be important to you. For just £365 you can choose a date, which we will mark by presenting your personal message on a dedicated display in the Cathedral’s reception area. The prominent display will be seen by 100's of visitors we have each day.

The day and your message will also be remembered on our website should you wish.

You will also receive an invitation to attend a private reception and musical event with the Choir each year.

Thanks to your support you will give the Cathedral great moment to celebrate, share or commemorate something noteworthy. You will also provide essential funds that will keep this iconic place open and free to enter on every single day of the year.

How to sponsor and adopt a day

Entering the details on the form will give us all the information we need. After you submit the form you will then be taken to our donation page where you can make your contribution to secure your sponsorship of a day – either as a one-off payment of £365 or through a monthly payment of £31 via a direct debit.
