Phoenix Club

A group for newcomers to the Cathedral family to learn and grow together

The Phoenix Club is a group of currently made up of around 30 members, this began a few months ago for newcomers of the Cathedral to join, to learn about the Cathedral and its reconciliation ministry.

We meet for regular gatherings for bible study, with discussions around meals and plenty of fun activities too.

It also as the link to other opportunities of service in the Cathedral such as welcomes, stewards, readers and assisting with hospitality.

What to expect?

The Phoenix Club is a group created at Coventry Cathedral as a space for newcomers to the Cathedral to:

  1. GROW in faith and understanding of Christ’s ministry of reconciliation.
  2. Explore forms of SERVICE in our worship, outreach and special projects.
  3. NETWORK with young people from the Cathedral, City, Diocese and internationally.

Our guiding principles

  • To offer HOSPITALITY to new members who share and support the purpose and vision of the group and seeks to grow in their faith and understanding of the Cathedral’s mission around reconciliation.
  • To celebrate the DIVERSITY of the group and the opportunities for learning that it presents.
  • To participate in the creation of a CULTURE OF PEACE AND JUSTICE within the Cathedral community
