Your gifts support our vigorous arts, reconciliation and worship communities

We are very honoured to have been given the care of two grade 1 listed buildings, the old Cathedral and New Cathedral.

Our Cathedral's means a great deal to a great number of people, but keeping them open to the public costs £3,000 a day. We receive no government funding towards maintaining these loved Cathedrals and rely on donations and gifts in wills to stay open daily.

We need your support to ensure our Cathedrals remains open and relevant for generations to come. We want to inspire new generations with the remarkable story of Coventry Cathedral and keep our doors open to everyone, free of charge. Explore how you can get involved and make a difference below.

Thank You For Your Support

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the generous grant making trusts and corporate partners who have supported our mission. Your contributions have been instrumental in driving our initiatives forward, enabling us to make a tangible difference in the communities we serve. Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our vision. A special thank you to Hill Group for sponsoring this year's big fundraising event, the Summer Garden Party. A wonderful evening was had by all! We raised £7,267 in donations which will be incredibly helpful for the upkeep of the Cathedral. In 2023, with the support and financial grant offered to us from Benefact Trust we were able to employ a part time Donor Coordinator. This enabled our Fundraising department to not only double in size, but double in productivity. This grant was essential in establishing this role within our team.

Make your donation go further with Gift Aid

Although the Cathedral is technically an “ecclesiastical corporation”, it is treated as a charity by HM Revenue and Customs so we look to reclaim Gift Aid wherever possible. If you are eligible, please do Gift Aid your donation online.

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid will increase the value of your donation by allowing us to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift. For every £1 donated, the Cathedral can claim 25 pence of tax at no additional cost to you, therefore a gift of £100 is worth £125 once tax is reclaimed.
