Coventry Cathedral have received £28,900 by the Cathedral Music Trust, that will directly support musical excellence and enable our music department to develop future talent through chorister education and engagement programmes.
Cathedral Music Trust aims to enrich the present and secure the future of cathedral music, campaigning on behalf of cathedral musicians and teams, supporting their work through grants, whilst continuing to encourage the pursuit of excellence in sacred choral and organ music.
Luke Fitzgerald, Acting Director of Music said:
"This grant have a significant enabling impact upon our Cathedral choirs over the next two years, creating capacity for significantly increased visits to schools for chorister recruitment, and allowing us to deliver more musical training to our dedicated Cathedral Choristers. We are hugely grateful to the Cathedral Music Trust for their support.”
