Coventry Cathedral Launches Bloomberg-Powered Digital Guide as It Marks 64th Anniversary

Coventry Cathedral is marking the 64th anniversary of its consecration with a major step forward in how it welcomes visitors—launching a new, free digital guide in partnership with Bloomberg Connects.

Joining world-renowned cultural destinations such as MoMA and the National Portrait Gallery, alongside UK landmarks including Liverpool Cathedral and York Minster, Coventry Cathedral is proud to introduce the globally recognised platform as a gateway to its rich heritage.

Available on-site and anywhere in the world, the multilingual Bloomberg Connects app offers an immersive blend of audio, visual, and text content—carefully designed with accessibility at its core, including features optimised for screen readers. Visitors can explore the cathedral’s stories, collections, and spaces through a simple QR code.

This landmark launch signals a new chapter in the cathedral’s evolution as a major arts and heritage destination. It forms part of a wider programme of investment and innovation, including:

• The appointment of a dedicated Head of Heritage and Interpretation
• Ongoing collaboration with World Monuments Fund (WMF) to conserve the medieval glass collection
• The Cathedral's wider plans for the Ruins and for work in reconciliation, Building Hope
• The reopening of the popular Tower Climb this summer
