Announcement of Acting Dean
Bishop Sophie Jelley of Coventry has appointed Reverend Kate Massey, Canon for Arts and Reconciliation as Acting Dean, working of course closely with Canon Nitano Muller and Chief Operation Officer Simon Danks, taking up her role (in addition to her existing responsibilities) from June 1st. In making this appointment we are delighted that Bishop Sophie Jelley has expressed confidence Cathedral team and the well established direction the Cathedral has been taking for many years.
It is also important to note that whilst only one person can hold the office of Acting Dean, this is in many ways a shared appointment, as Kate Massey and Nitano Muller, along with Simon Dank’s support, hold the Cathedral together through these coming months. Recognising the additional workload, Bishop Sophie Jelley intends to appoint another priest to a temporary role to provide additional support capacity through this period.
We all hope that a new Dean will take up their post before the end of the year. Please pray for the recruitment process and those involved.
