The Lady Chapel is separated from the main Cathedral floor by a lattice screen, which provides a slightly more private space for prayer and reflection. The chapel is used for worship by the Mother's Union, and on occasion houses artworks and exhibitions.

There is wheelchair access into the Chapel from the walkway in front of the Tapestry. The walkway can be accessed via a ramp on the left-hand side of the New Cathedral.
