Wood is once more becoming popular for buildings in Europe. The exhibition shows exemplary construction projects using timber as structural building material. These range from houses via kindergartens to airship hangars. Initiated by the Association for Sustainable Planning, Building and Certification of the Saxon Architects Chamber in collaboration with the Architects Chambers of Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia the exhibition aims to promote building with timber. The Coventry University Built Environment Department [CUBE] is pleased to bring this exhibition to Coventry.

This exhibition is the second collaboration between the Saxon Architects Chamber and Coventry University. We hope this exhibition will attract much interest across the city and region from the architecture, building and planning sectors and may even initiate some interesting business links between the two countries.

The exhibition will be opened on Thursday, 5th February 2026 in conjunction with an introductory talk by Dresden Architect Olaf Reiter showcasing some of his own case studies and time to explore the exhibition over refreshments.

Entry is free.

In order to plan accordingly please RSVP to email hidden; JavaScript is required if you can join us for the opening event. We look forward to welcoming you at 18:15 on the 5th February at Coventry Cathedral.
