Play the Organ Day at Coventry Cathedral

A free, family‑friendly day of music-making

Join us at Coventry Cathedral for a unique opportunity to explore one of the UK’s most iconic instruments. Whether you’re a young organist already learning, or a child completely new to the organ, or simply curious, this exciting day offers something for all young music lovers.

Event Schedule

All activities take place inside Coventry Cathedral.

12:30 – 13:00 - “Organ Favourites” – Demonstration Recital by Liam Condon - (OPEN TO ALL)

Enjoy a short, accessible recital showcasing much‑loved organ repertoire.

13:15 – 13:30 - Talk: The Coventry Cathedral Organ - (OPEN TO ALL)

Discover the story of our renowned organ and why it now needs rebuilding.

13:30 – 15:00 - Play the Organ Experience (Ages 10–16)

Perfect for beginners and those with little or no previous experience.

  • Try the Cathedral organ for yourself
  • Approx. 7 minutes per participant
  • Tickets limited (up to 12 places)

Safeguarding

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and sign in on arrival.
