What is Action Rayz?
"Action Rayz is chiefly about art and social action. And trying to make a difference, It knows it's never going to change the world, but aims for small victories. Very very small ones in a world dominated by things like Trump, Gaza and global warming. It aims to be relevant, if it can use that horribly loaded word. Action Rayz makes films, shows films and prints zines. It aims to engage as much as possible with the wider arts and social action community."
The Film
A TV play about a British woman's descent into poverty and homelessness because of her country's rigid and problem-ridden welfare system.
"Cathy Come Home is a really important film, even for today with people slipping and sliding on the housing ladder. Where you hear of people saving, not to buy a house, but to raise a deposit for a rented house. Many younger people have heard of Cathy but never seen it. Well now's your chance!!!"
