Hugh Rowlands is Assistant Organist at New College, Oxford. Previously he was Assistant Master of Music at the Chapels Royal, HM Tower of London, Acting Director of Music at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, and Deputy Director of Music at Haileybury.
As both a pianist and organist, he has performed at major venues across the UK and internationally. Recent venues include the Barbican Centre, the Southbank Centre, Bold Tendencies, Shanghai Symphony Hall, and the National Centre for Performing Arts, Beijing. A regular collaborator with a broad range of leading ensembles, he has worked alongside groups including Grange Festival Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, James McVinnie Ensemble, English Chamber Orchestra, and Alamire.
Hugh is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.
