Join us at Coventry Cathedral for our popular Monday Lunchtime Organ Recitals, running from May to September 2026. These free, half‑hour concerts (12.30–1.00pm) offer a perfect midday pause, showcasing the magnificent cathedral organ played by distinguished guest organists from across the UK and beyond. Each week brings a fresh and varied programme, from much‑loved classics to contemporary and newly composed works, performed in the inspiring surroundings of this iconic building. All are warmly welcome.

7th September - Keith Hearnshaw (Freelance)

Keith Hearnshaw is a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and been a freelance professional organist for over 25 years.

He held the posts of Organ Scholar at Lincoln Cathedral and Liverpool Anglican Cathedral studying with both Professor Ian Tracey and Colin Walsh. Alongside his music degree he holds the FRCO and ARCM diplomas.

Keith has played at most of the major venues in the UK and also concerts in Europe. In 2013 he performed at the Spreckels Organ Pavillion International Summer Organ Festival, Balboa Park, San Diego, USA playing to over 2000 people! It houses the worlds largest outdoor organ.

Keith on many occasions played duet concerts with the Pavarotti of the Organ the late great American Organ Virtuoso Carlo Curley including on the famous Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia USA the worlds largest fully working organ with over 30,000 pipes.

Keith provides HD Big Screen Video Projection for Organ concerts, many for Carlo Curley and now for Organists such as David Briggs & Thomas Trotter & Olivier Latry.

In 2021 alongside his concert work Keith took up the post of Organist at St Mary the Virgin Church Hanbury. The village of Hanbury has been linked to the BBC Radio 4 series "The Archers" for over 65 years.
