Greg Morris is Director of Music at St Margaret’s, Westminster Abbey, and Musical Director of Collegium Musicum of London and the Bar Choral Society.
At Westminster Abbey, Greg directs the music in St Margaret’s Church and the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft, the oldest surviving part of the Palace of Westminster. A major part of the role is conducting the St Margaret’s Choristers. Founded in 2023, the choir offers 24 girls aged 11–17 from across London the opportunity to perform with the professional musicians of the St Margaret’s Consort. The choir has quickly established itself as an integral part of the Abbey’s musical and liturgical life, singing weekly in services in St Margaret’s and in the Abbey itself. In the past few months the choristers have made their concert debut alongside The English Concert, performed Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, and broadcast on Classic FM. Future plans include Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, a tour to Paris, and Mozart’s Requiem in Westminster Abbey.
As an organist, Greg has performed across four continents, broadcast on BBC Radio 3 including at the Proms, given a recital series of the complete works of Bach, and been soloist and accompanist on several critically acclaimed recordings.
Programme of Music:
Prelude in E flat BWV 552 - J.S. Bach
Trio Sonata in G BWV 530 - J.S. Bach
