At a colossal 19,341ft above sea level Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes to ever break through the Earth’s crust.

John’s challenge was to edge his way above the sea of clouds to its summit. Kilimanjaro – with its 1,000m ascent and 2,000m descent – is not to be underestimated. It was a tough but exhilarating adventure.

John welcomes sponsorship for his exertions – the aim is to raise £5,000. This money will contribute towards the Investors in Hope fundraising campaign, which supports both the Cathedral and its Reconciliation Ministry. The direct web link to John’s fundraising page is here.

Otherwise, you can just go to the BT MyDonate website directly (click here) and type in John’s full name in the ‘Fundraiser’ box. It will take you straight to his listing.

Matt Feeley in the Fundraising Office can help with any queries you might have on 024 7652 1226. We would also be happy to accept cheques as part of this challenge.

The Dean’s Challenge – he did it!

Come and be inspired by the Knife Angel, which will be here until early May.
