Available to view until 26th August, this exhibition presents examples of traditional Japanese embroidery produced by skilled needle workers in the UK. The embroidery is worked on the finest quality silk and metallic fabrics using pure silk and metallic threads. The techniques have been used in the western world only since the 1980`s and through their teaching the wish is to unite all countries in the world in peace and harmony. During the exhibition workers will be demonstrating the techniques. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the Hiroshima Commemoration on August 6th.
