Coventry Cathedral has applied to its Fabric Advisory Committee for permission to implement 3 projects. In summary these are:

1.   Installation of new interpretation in and around the Ruined and New Cathedrals. This project includes the introduction of new signage, interpretation panels, touchscreens and information points and the removal of old interpretation information from the walls of the Ruined Cathedral. (Click here to the see the Public Notice Form 4)

2.   Installation of new retail and welcome furniture in the New Cathedral. This project removes the existing furniture at the entrance to the New Cathedral and introduces new furniture to provide a welcome area and a separate retail area. The furniture will be mobile so that it can be brought together on occasions. (Click here to the see the Public Notice Form 4)

3.   New landscaping beside St Michael’s Avenue and on Unity Lawns. This project is to remove the railings between the 2 grass areas either side of St Michael’s Avenue and introduce a new Saw tooth edge to the pathway with some benches and new lighting. It also includes the installation of a circular bench around one of the trees on Unity Lawns. (Click here to the see the Public Notice Form 4)
