Earlier this year, a number of Coventry’s Boy Choristers and Choral Scholars travelled to Lubeck to join the Choir of St Mary’s Church for a concert and a service to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bombing of the city and destruction of the church in 1942.

St Mary’s Church is the place where the composer Dietrich Buxtehude held his series of Abendmusik concerts which attracted the attention and admiration of J. S. Bach. The interior of the reconstructed church reflects the historic beauty of the original building.
