LATEST NEWS

Click here for a flyer or here for a poster giving details of the BIG DRAW at Coventry Cathedral. This is part of a national scheme inviting people of all ages to discover how drawing can connect them with their surroundings and the wider community. This year’s theme in Coventry Cathedral uses the wonderful architecture in Coventry’s Cathedral Quarter. Come and explore on Saturday 29th October from 10am to 1pm.

Continue ‘being part of it’ by entering The Coventry Cathedral BIG DRAW Competition. We will be running competitions for writing (prose and verse), photography and illustration across the year to come. There’s a category for all the family: 11 and under; 12 to 16; and 17 plus. The Cathedral’s website will develop to display selective submissions. The FREE entry to one or all three categories can be made by attending and participating in the BIG DRAW on the morning of 29th October or by contacting Anna Hill at the Schools Department. Click here to email Anna.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

Come and investigate a site rich in history and art and find out why one teacher called it "Top of my list of places to visit".

An assistant headteacher said following an Awards Evening, "The event was very successful; staff, students and guests all left wreathed in smiles and full of how wonderful the experience had been......Your help and friendly accommodation of our wants and needs is especially appreciated."

The Cathedral Schools Team is dedicated to making your visit both memorable and educational.

Our School Tours Programme offers 20 tours and workshops for primary and secondary pupils linked to the National Curriculum, or we can tailor a visit to meet your needs.

We are also piloting some new Foundation and Early Years Cathedral Workshops. Click here for details.

Our School Guides work with school groups on programmes related to:

  • National Curriculum
  • Agreed Syllabuses
  • Every Child Matters agenda
  • Project-based curriculum

We are experienced teachers, children's workers and long-established Cathedral guides who have all been through enhanced CRB clearance.

We provide
Teachers' resources and Pupils' resources you can download for FREE and packs you can purchase to enhance your pupils' visit.
