Students
Students from both Warwick and Coventry universities are a welcome and valued part of the Cathedral Community. The Cathedral is in a prime location to welcome and serve the student population and is committed to doing so.
By being a multi-cultural, multi-generational community on campus the Cathedral is a great place for students to get out of the student bubble. We work hard to integrate students into the wider community by providing opportunities to volunteer in a wide range of ministries and at different events throughout the year.
Who we are
As Students at the Cathedral we are a growing group of people who simply put want to belong to a community, becoming more like Christ and be ambassadors. This means that:
Belonging to a community
We want to be invested in each other through deep and honest friendships, this goes beyond simply being drinking buddies. This sort of community grows into a group of people who will support, accept and love you no matter what is happening in your life but equally will challenge and encourage you towards Godliness even if it means having tough conversations.
Becoming more like Christ
We want to be becoming more Christ like in every area of our life. This means first we need to know Jesus; what He's like and how He lives. So we study the Bible together, pray and grow in other spiritual disciplines. Secondly we want a faith that isn't simply head knowledge but is connected to day to day life so we set each other week by week challenges to live differently specific to each others situation and hold each other accountable.
Being ambassadors
2 Corinthians 5:18-20 says "Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation... Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ". As Cathedral students we want to take this calling to be ambassadors to our campus seriously by finding new and creative ways to fulfil this ministry of reconciliation through acts of kindness, social action, service and proclamation.
