Working at Coventry Cathedral
Coventry Cathedral employs about 25 dedicated members of staff who do a variety of jobs ranging from office administration, to maintenance, to teaching music and many more.
Periodically we have job opportunities available that are advertised on this site as well as internships that might be suitable for students or graduates.

Coventry Cathedral receives over 250,000 visitors a year, ranging from passing residents who stop to enjoy our tranquillity, to school children on visits, to pilgrims in tour groups. Many people in our Community and Diocese willingly offer their time to make the Cathedral a welcoming and memorable place to visit and worship in. Working alongside our clergy and paid staff, volunteers enable us to share this wonderful place – its story and the building – with many thousands of people. Volunteers are essential to this place and we have nearly 200.

Volunteers in Coventry Cathedral are currently involved in the following work;
- Working with visitors as Guides, Welcomers, Reception/Sales Assistants;
- Manual work including flower arranging, cleaning, maintenance, painting, needlework grounds maintenance, event support;
- Office work such as reception duties and administration;
- Archive research and cataloguing the Cathedral's historical documents as well as answering queries from people seeking information;
- Hospitality work including greeting and providing refreshments for groups, fundraising receptions, social functions;
- Education work including providing tours for school children from all over the country.
We are also looking for professional skills in certain areas. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity we would love to hear from you even if a specific job isn't being advertised. Give us a call and we will help find the right opportunity for you.
