We thought 2018 was busy for the CCN, but 2019 is shaping up to be more so!
Our first new partner, the Church of St. Sophia-Busmann Chapel in Dresden, joined in February, and is the first of four from Germany and the Netherlands to be welcomed into the CCN this year: in the autumn the Pauluskerk in the Netherlands, the Evangelische Kirchengemeinde Alt-Saarbrucken and the Evangelisches Jugendwerk im Kirchenbezirk Ohringen, both in Germany, will join us.
This June Coventry Cathedral’s Dean John Witcombe will present Crosses to two wonderful new partners in Canada, Christ Church Cathedral, Victoria, Vancouver Island, and the Sorrento Centre, a retreat centre in the mountains of British Columbia. A third Cross in North America will be presented in the autumn to Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas.
July sees our first new partner who will also concurrently join our new inter-faith and non-faith partner sister organisation, Together for Hope. We are really excited about Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust on the south bank of the Thames in central London joining both organisations.
In the UK, three other organisations are in the early stages of joining, as are three others in central and southern Africa. A number of ICON Schools in the UK are also lined up to join the ICONS network. More news to follow on all these soon!
