As we continue our prayers for Paris, Beirut and other places around the world, one of our CCN partners, Laurenskerk in Rotterdam, held one minute of silence on Monday 16th November in remembrance of the following attacks in Paris.

We’re delighted to announce that All Saints CE Primary School and Nursery, Nuneaton, have become our newest member of the International Cross of Nails Schools network (ICONS). The school has, at its core, a commitment to encourage all within the school community to be kind, caring and forgiving towards one another, and to promote responsible citizenship through a supportive partnership between families, church and the wider community.

Much of the schools’ work revolves around helping their pupils to learn more about themselves, promoting tolerance and diversity, and encouraging them to value themselves and each other regardless of their differences. Reverend Frank Seldon and parishioners from All Saints Church visit the school regularly, and once a year a member of the Quaker Peace Education Project delivers a Peacemakers Project. Reconciliation is at the heart of all they do, as was clearly evident at the wonderful service in the Cathedral yesterday. Pupils from the school read out Scripture, sang songs glorifying the amazing love of Jesus, and recounted personal testimonies about the importance of reconciliation to them. It was a privilege to be a part of.

We invite all of our Friends and Partners to be praying for All Saints today, as they continue to work for reconciliation in Nuneaton.  Awarding of Cross of Nails in Ruins
