Sunday
08:00   Holy Communion (in the Lady Chapel)
A quiet, reflective service lasting just over half an hour.  This service follows the order of the Book of Common Prayer.

10:30   Cathedral Eucharist
Lasting just over an hour, and using modern language, this service has a traditional feel with the best contemporary liturgical resources of the Church of England.  The choir sing some of the finest music written for the Anglican Choral tradition, and there are hymns and other music for the congregation to join in with.  A flourishing junior church meets during the Eucharist, gathering beforehand near the West Screen (all leaders of young peoples organisations are trained and CRB cleared).  All communicant members of any Christian church, including children, are welcome to receive the sacrament.  Refreshments are served at the back of the Cathedral following the service.

On the third Sunday of the month, the Eucharist is especially designed to appeal to all age groups, and children and young people stay with their families for the whole service.

There are many special services from time to time, so you are advised to check the website to keep up to date with what is going on.

16:00   Choral Evensong
One of the gems of Anglican worship, this traditional Prayer Book service is sung by one of the Cathedral Choirs, accompanied by our famous Harrison organ.  Worshippers are invited to sit in the chancel and feel part of a tradition of prayer in music and silence dating back many centuries.  The service lasts around 40 minutes.

18:30   Cathedral Praise
This is an informal service - an hour of worship, teaching and prayer in the Nave of the cathedral.  The music is contemporary, accompanied by a band, and the hope is that everyone, whatever age or stage, will feel at home here.

There will be Holy Communion during the service on the first Sunday of every month.

Everyone is invited to stay for coffee, tea and doughnuts after the service.  Please see the link to
Cathedral Praise on this website for details of the new programme for the term.  Please contact Sharon Crofts for information about the Alpha Course and our home groups.
