DIRECTOR OF MUSIC AT COVENTRY CATHEDRAL

 

Kerry Beaumont has been appointed Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral.

 

Kerry has had a long and distinguished career in church and cathedral music, holding posts in the United States of America, St David’s Cathedral and Ripon Cathedral.

 

He is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and holds a Masters degree in composition from the University of Durham. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, and of Trinity College of Music, London, and is also a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.

 

Kerry is married to Leslie, a musician, and they have a son and a daughter.

 

Precentor of Coventry Cathedral the Revd. Canon Adrian Daffern said:

 

“Kerry brings many skills and a great deal of experience and we are delighted that he and Leslie will join us here in Coventry.”

 

The family will move during the summer and Kerry takes up his appointment on September 1.
